OPENING HOURS

Tuesday – Sunday 10.00 pm to 5.00 pm (closed on Mondays)

The barrier-free entrance is located at the side entrance, to the left of the main entrance to the museum.

*free admission exclusively for school class groups from conventional schools (elementary and secondary schools, junior high schools, high schools, integrated comprehensive schools) and study groups from the Technical University or other universities. It does not apply to adult education centre groups, integration courses, etc.

For groups of 10 or more people, we kindly ask you to register in advance.


BARRIER-FREE

The barrier-free entrance with an elevator is located at the side entrance, to the left of the main entrance (entrance to the “Roter Saal”). Visitors with a disability rating of 50% or more are eligible for discounted admission.

Simple Language

A written tour description for our permanent exhibition in simple language can be obtained at the museum’s cash register.


PHOTOGRAPHY IN THE MUSEUM

Photography without flash is permitted for private purposes in the museum's permanent exhibition.

Braunschweig MUSEUMSCARD

Seven museums for 22 Euros – first admission is free and subsequent visits are discounted – available at the Palace Museum!

For 22 Euros, cardholders receive a one-time free admission and discounted admission for one year on any number of subsequent visits to the seven participating institutions under various sponsorships. The three Lower Saxony State Museums in Braunschweig, the “Landesmuseum Braunschweig” (State Museum), the Herzog Anton Ulrich Museum, and the “Naturhistorisches Museum” (Natural History Museum) are participating in the project, as well as the “Städtisches Museum” (Municipal Museum), the Palace Museum, the Art Association, and the “Museum für Photographie” (Museum of Photography) Braunschweig.


TRAVEL

Public transportation

The Palace Museum is located near the “Rathaus” and “Schloss” tram stops. You can reach the Rathaus stop with lines 1, 2, 3, 4, and 10. You can reach the “Schloss” stop with lines 1, 2, 3, 5, and 10.

You can reach us by bus with lines 230, 411, 413, 416, 418, 420, 422, 423, 450, 480, 560, 620, and 730 at the “Rathaus” stop.

By car

The Palace Museum does not have its own parking spaces.

There are several car parks in the vicinity:
